Top 10 Cell Phone Picks For The Year
The year starts with great tidings as the major phone releases are revealed at CTIA, CES and Mobile world Congress. I released a list of the top 10 Smartphone in match in preparation of other major announcements and now that most of them has been made, I realized that I should release another one to include some that were released afterwards. . Although some of the phone that are in this list are also in the other one, I thought it wise to include them and rate them again as I now have a new perspective of them after the releases. I have included some phones which are not yet in the market as I am sure they will be out by the time the holidays are here. Although there are some great 2012 major releases, I have left out some of them that I am sure will not be out by the end of the year.
Last year I had a chance of releasing my top 10 Smartphone of 2010 in May but that was not possible for this year as Apple pushed their IPhone 4s announcement. This month has also seen major announcements from Google and Microsoft. As IOS and Android are the top leaders in the Smartphone market, it is getting a little bit easier to choose the best platforms. Some other platforms following these two are the Windows and Blackberry which is way bellow. Although Blackberry devices are still top three for most, the platform is losing market fast unless the QNX-based devices hit the streets soon. WebOS lost the battle so long ago and trailing behind is the symbian which is becoming extinct in the U.S.
I was on the verge of placing the solid Nokia 800 devices on the 3rd position after I saw them at the Nokia World last week, but decided against it as I realized that we are not going to see any of them here before 2012.
The prices on this article will be available from the carrier. You will also find good prices from Amazon.com and Wirefly if you are new a carrier.
